I am looking to find some further information about a George Goodman who died in Jefferson, Rutherford Co and the sale of his estate was recorded in the Rutherford Co record books of the October Term 1817. I am specifically interested in finding out his relationship to the following Ferguson men who are listed as having been at the sale: Douglas, Shadrack, and Owen. Could George have been a father-in-law/brother-in-law/uncle to these men? I have traced my Ferguson line back to Toliver Ferguson of Rutherford Co and are presently pursuing the theory that he connects to Douglas and/or Shadrack Ferguson of Rutherford Co.
