Tom Thank you so much for this information. I am not a direct descendant of this line - rather, I descend from one of Nancy Davis Lasiter's sisters, Willie Ann Davis Thurman. It is interesting to note that Stanford A. Lasater (11th child of Jonathan and Nancy (Davis) Lasater) migrated to Marion Co Illinois where some of the Rutherford Co Tn Davises ended up as well. I'll have to check the census to see if they were living near each other. Perhaps Stanford went there to be near family?
