    3. Deborah, I'm slightly familiar with Spotswood Jones; and was the Henry Jones you mentioned the husband of Delilah Jones, the family residing in Milton's District in the 1850 Census? Was Henry the son of Spotswood? I've never been able to tie either man to my line, which was Matthew and Sarah Jones, parents of Darling (born 11 Oct 1815 in NC)and probably Henry (the one who married Winifred McKNIGHT). Matthew died in Rutherford County on 5 Jan 1831. The widowed Sarah Jones married Cunningham SMITH on 9 Jun 1834. William or Sarah was closely related to William Jones, who resided on Falling Creek, the father of Albert, John C., ANDERSON, Robert S., Margaret Ann, William Edwin, Enoch J., and Samuel PASCHALL Jones. I'm not sure how many Jones lines there were in Rutherford County. I'm delighted to think there might be only two; but unfortunately I suspect there might be at least five or six. Mine were definitely associated not only with the Drennans and Millers in the area around Falling Creek, but also WARDs and THORNs, Robert HUNTER, and Albion SMITH, son of Cunningham. Nancy

    3. Hello Nancy Delilah Davis and Elizabeth Davis both married Jones men - as you probably know. Delilah Davis married Henry Davis and Elizabeth was the second wife of Spotswood Jones. Elizabeth and Delilah were sisters - and I suspect that Spotswoods and Henry were brothers. Spotswood and his family migrated back to Cumberland Co KY by 1830 and I lose them after that. But Henry I have a lot of information on - as the estate administration of his father in law, Lewis Davis, mentions Henry several times. I believe this line of Jones connects back to Hanover Co Va - through Landy Jones, their father.
