    3. I have seen this "Big Springs" area around Claiborne County in the Powell River Valley area in some research dated around 1800-05. I'm wondering if there is another area in or around Rutherford County called by that name.     3. Rodney, The only Kimbro I know of is Nancy Kimbro who married Matthew Hunt in Nov. 1797, Davidson County, TN. I don't know who her parents are. Do you have a Nancy Kimbro?     3. I have a Nancy "Nicey" Sutton who married Hickman Hunt on Sept 21, 1837, Rutherford County, TN. Hickman Hunt's parents are Matthew Hunt and Nancy Kimbro who married Nov 13, 1797 in Davidson County, TN. I don't know who Nancy's parents are, but I'm still looking. Have you seen any of these names before? Burrell Perry JOHNSONs s/o Burrell Perry JOHNSON (b 1/2/1808 d 1901 Rutherford Co.) and was md Elizabeth BLAKELY (b Nov 1812 Rutherford Co., d 1892 Rutherford Co.). Burrell Perry JOHNSON's s/o Edward JOHNSON b 1772 SC d 1852 Rutherford Co., TN. His wf was Mary McMINN b 1774 d 1843 Rutherford Co. Mary McMINN's father was Robert McMINN b c1740. He fought in the Revolutionary War. I have papers from a cousin that is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution confirming this and stating that Robert McMinn was a member of the Safety Committee in North Carolina. Robert md Jane Kuykendall, d/o Abraham Kuykendall. They just had Abraham Kuykendall Day in Hendersonville, NC a couple of months ago. The Kuykendalls are traced back to about 1500.
