Billie, Do you know where your Morgans came from? I have Morgan on the southern border of Rutherford Co, at Midland, descendants of Carey, Rolly, and Samuel Morgan who came into the county not later than 1817. There parents were Joshua Morgan and wife Elizabeth Clay who were in Mecklenburg Co, VA at least 1776 to 1796. I cannot account for their whereabouts 1796 to 1817. Carolyn Smotherman

I do not know the exact area of Rutherford Co., but I am searching for information on Michael SWINK, born 1792 NC, died 1860 Rutherford Co. TN. Married Rebecca Bivens, born 1800 NC, daughter of Fielder Bivens. Their daughter, Martha P. SWINK was born 30 Jan 1830 in TN, married George W. Tucker on 02 Jan 1850 in Rutherford Co. I am a direct descendant of Martha and George's daughter, Tennessee Tucker, born Aug 1853. Do any of these names sound familiar to researchers? I would love to find the area where Michael Swink is buried in Rutherford Co., and any information other researchers would care to share. Thank you, June Waymire Pruitt jwhtpruitt@up-link.net

I don't know that I can be that specific yet. I have Irvins and Burkhalters in Rutherford co. at various times. in 1850 Zachariah Mitchell Irvin is on the census with his mother and brothers. All of them were born in N.C. I'm not sure about the Burkhalters since most of them left for Texas in 1850. thanks, Tammy -----Original Message----- From: CheasaG@cs.com [mailto:CheasaG@cs.com] Sent: Friday, March 23, 2001 9:28 AM To: TNRUTHER-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [TNRUTHER] ROLL Call I am curious as to the areas of Rutherford County every one is researching in .
