    3. I'm interested in your Read line. I have an Adna(Edna) Cornelia Read who may have been the daughter of Isaac Read of Bowie co. Texas. I haven't really tried hard on researching the Reads yet. At Least one group in Texas came from Tennesee. thanks, Tammy -----Original Message----- From: Bob Richie [mailto:judy_richie@cvinternet.net] Sent: Sunday, March 25, 2001 1:29 PM To: TNRUTHER-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [TNRUTHER] roll call I'm searching for Read/Reed and Fagan with possibly ties to the Nesbitts and Fletchers. Lemuel Read/Reed, who was married to Sarah Jones Fagan, had a blacksmith shop a few miles out of Murfreesboro and land on Panther Creek, and later on the East Fork of Stones River. May have lived last in Milton. He bought and sold land many times. Time frame is ca 1816-1847. His children moved to Texas. Judy Richie ______________________________

    3. Posted on: Rutherford Co. Tn Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Tn/Rutherford/10465 Surname: ROSE ------------------------- I am looking for information related to Bennett Rose. Bennett appears in the 1850 Census in Robertson County (born abt. 1797 in Edgecomb County, NC). In particular, I am seeking information that would link his daughter Mary who also appears in the 1850 census to my gr gr gr grandmother Mary M. Rose. Mary M. Rose (born June 10, 1835 in Tennessee, died April 19, 1899 in Marshall County, KY) married Henry Myre in Davidson County, TN,in 1855 and moved to Marshall County, KY around 1860. Bennett's brother Matthew Rose had previously moved from Robertson County to Marshall County, KY. I would especially appreciate hearing from anyone that may be in possession of land records or a will that might provide that linkage.

    3. Joyce--- About the 1878 D.G. Beers map...... The map is a copy of the original done in 1878 by the D.G. Beers Co of Philadelphia. The Rutherford Co. Historical Society had copies made and I bought one a couple of years ago from the Rutherford County Clerk's Office. Cost was $6.00--a BARGAIN! Tried to figure out a way to reproduce it in sections (withouth cutting up my map) and putting it on Mari's great website, but it's too hard for me! Contact the nice folks at the County Clerk's Office to get a copy: 319 N. 2. Deborah H Maddox
    3. Hi Wilarlie, I moved in 1969 when I was 5 yrs. old, so I went to school in South Carolina. We lived on Simmons Avenue in the Woodbine area. My grandmother still lived on that street up until last year when she was moved to a nursing home. Then we lived on Berry Hill Drive for two years. The state came in and bought our house...tore it down to build the new interstate that came through that area near 100 Oaks shopping center. After that my father's job tranferred us to South Carolina. I still consider Nashville my home. I visit as often as I can....about every two or three months. All of my family in Nashville attended Saint Edwards School and Father Ryan. In fact, today their children now attend those same schools even though some of them have moved to the Brentwood & Lavergne areas. My father was William "Skipper" Hunt. He played in a band in Nashville, and went on to play all his life up until the time he died. The Rockabilly Hall of Fame has a website that even list him. I got a kick out that when I found it! Some of the guys in the band were Gayle Whitfield, Larry Henley, Sam ? (can't think of his last name right now, but I believe he still owns a music store in Nashville). I didn't mean to get carried away. I just love Nashville. It's a great place and I sure miss my family there. Maybe one day I'll get to move back. Have a great Sunday! :>) Deborah On Sun, 25 Mar 2001 18:16:07 EST WILARLIEKB@aol.com writes: > In a message dated 3/25/01 2:24:16 PM Central Standard Time, > TNRUTHER-D-request@rootsweb.com writes: > > << scvolsfan@juno.com >> > Deborah, I lived on Hartford Drive in Woodbine from 1952 to 1960, > then we > moved to Huntsville, AL. 2. sj d
    3. I am researching the family of Toliver Ferguson, b abt 1800, who married Catherine Winters (b abt 1804 NC) in Rutherford Co in 1824. I cannot find the parents of either Toliver or Catherine. Also found in Rutherford Co at this same time is an Anderson Ferguson and his family. Since Toliver and Catherine name one of their sons Anderson, I suspect that this Anderson Ferguson of Rutherford Co is of some relation to my Toliver Ferguson (older brother perhaps). Thanks for any help you might could give me. Sherri _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com

    2. Gonna try this researching backward and see if that helps. Anyone searching the Johnson surname? I don't have much of anything other than a couple of names and I don't know if they fit for sure. Anyone have Cary T. Johnson in the mid 1800's with a daughter named Tennessee who would have married Tom McCanless/McCanliss? I'm not even sure if the one who married Tom is the same one who is the daughter of Cary and not sure if Cary is male or female.
