Jennifer, your surnames caught my attention. I have a Jesse W. Hinnard b. abt. 1816 in GA. Also, the Whitecotton family; I have been researching a family that indicated they might have been Whitefeather. But you know things are not always as they seem. The records stay in the courthouse where they were originally recorded. Would the parent county have the before and the new county have the after? Anyone researching Walker Todd father of Frances Todd who married Thomas Newton Irvin ? Thanks, Tammy Cox
Sue, Do you have any info for George and Jane? I got the name Casada from the 1870 Census. From her headstone, the name has been transcribed as Cassandsrs. I assumed that should have been Cassandra but, on the 1870 census it is spelled Casada. I have also seen Ona's name as Any and Ony. Were there other children in the family? Do you have parents for Jane and George? I would like all the info you would be willing to give me. I received an email from someone named Cunningham1234 but, it had a virus when it came through. My computer quarentined it. It claimed to have an attachment about the Taylor family. Thank you for your response. If you would like anything more on the Ramey family, let me know. Hi Anne, George Taylor is the father for this family. The mother is Jane McClanahan. I have Casada as Cassandra, the name of Jane's sister. Thanks so much for providing the spouses of George and Jane's children, I only had the names. My line is McClanahan, so I don't know anything about Ramey. I have the 1850 Rutherford Census if you need anything looked up. Thanks again, Sue

<snip>I am looking for information on the Woodfin Cemetery that was located somewhere near Fosterville. It is mentioned in a will that was probated around the 1910<snip> Jackie...I believe the Woodfin Cemetery you are talking about is in Bedford Co. just over the Bedford/Rutherford Co. TN line which would make it a bit SW of Fosterville. I have the Bedford Co. TN Cem. Records Book by the Marshes if you need a lookup. Hope this helps Marie
Is anyone researching this Taylor family in Rutherford? They married into my Ramey line. From the 1870 census I have: Jane Taylor age 63 b. Tennessee Casada Taylor age 27 b. TN Ona M. Taylor age 25 b. TN Wm. W. Taylor age 21 b. TN Casada Taylor married Robert M. Ramey b. 5 Sep 1853 in Walker Co., Georgia. Casada was born 14 May 1842. They are both buried in Newton Co., Arkansas. Ona M. Taylor married Isham J. Ramey 7 Sep 1871 in Rutherford Co. Ona was born 4 Feb 1845 and Isham was born 9 Sep 1851 in Walker Co. Georgia. Isham and Robert are brothers. They are the sons of Jeremiah Ramey and Pricilla Wheeler Ramey. I have the following possiblities for the father of this Taylor family. George N. Taylor m. Jane McClanahan 18 Dec 1839 in Rutherford and William C. Taylor m. Sarah J. Davidson 24 Jun 1841 in Rutherford. Does anyone know anything about these families. Is anyone familiar with these marriages and can confirm that they belong to this family or rule them out for me. Thanks for your help. Anne
I am looking for information on the Woodfin Cemetery that was located somewhere near Fosterville. It is mentioned in a will that was probated around the 1910 Any information would be appreciated. Spelling of names may vary. Thanks in advance. Jackie
Looking for the family of James Wilson CARTER who likely lived in Smyrna in the early 1900s. He apparently operated a Livery Stable in Smyrna at the time. He supposedly married Sallie DICKENS and believe they had 4 children (Ollie, Edna, Hazel, Eugene), all born before 1900. May have come to Smyrna from the Mount Juliet area (Wilson Co. TN). Any help will be very much appreciated--especially 1890/1900/1910 census lookups... Thanks in advance, Ed Waller

Like to find 'the rest of the story' re the following: Robert B. DANIEL born 1839 Tn married 1858 in Rutherford to Rebecca R. M. BATEY, did they go to Dickson Co, Tn by 1860? James M. DANIEL born 1830 Virginia, lived Rutherford Co, Tn by 1840, married 1855 in Rutherford Co, Tn to Martha D. CLEMMONS, had at least one son by 1860. He fought in Civil War...but where did the family go to after that? Josiah T. (Joe) DANIEL born 1859-9 Tn m Mary M. (?maiden name). He was listed from 1840 to 1880 in Rutherford Co, Tn still single. Listed with wife, in the 1920 Rutherford Co, Tn census + several kids. Reported to have been living 1927 in Maury Co, Tn BUT died 1935 in Rutherford (will book 3). He probably married ca 1910-1915 to Mary. Where was he in 1900, 1910 and what was maiden name of his wife? Mary Beatrice (Bee) DANIEL born 1861 Tn, lived up to 1880 Rutherford Co, married ca 1881-4 to an unknown CHILDRESS. Married either in Rutherford or Marshall Co, Tn I believe. In both 1900 and 1910 she was without a husband living with parents in Marshall Co, Tn. In 1900 she was described as divorced but in 1910, she was 'widowed'. She left 2 boys: Lemmie (or Louis) V. CHILDRESS and Roy (or Ray) T. CHILDRESS. Her parents died 1904-1915 in Marshall Co, Tn. Did she remain in Marshall after her parents died? What was first name of her husband. Thanks. Joyce, Burleson, Tx
