Thank you so much, Teresa...I am sure that is my Alex Woodroof..that name gets spelled any old way all the time..LOL...I will have to make a trip and see that file.... Betty Betty, I have an Emma Lannom daughter of Tilman W. Lannom and Harriett Amanda Clardy. She married Alex Woodreff 21 Sept 1876. Notice the spelling of Woodreff. It could be wrong. Information comes from Partlow , Wilson County, Deeds, Marriage and Wills, page 86. I don't have any information on their descendants. I got this from the Lebanon Library. They have a Lannom family file. You can do quite a lot of other searches besides just finding your ancestor's plot of land if you tinker with the search program. Quite handy if you are looking for other family connections and neighbors. Just like my kin...winding up in jail! This is why I didn't get into genealogy for so long--afraid of all the horsethieves I'd find.... I think someone told me or I read somewhere about this George the jailbird. Don't know anything else about him--and he MAY not even be ours Mecca--though the circumstantial evidence sure fits! Thanks for the lookup Sue. Found anymore on your McDOWELLs? If you'll remember, Martha McDOWELL (dau of Joseph I think) married Ephriam WALLER in 1830. Anyone is welcome to post queries, and questions about Rutherford County, TN Genealogy. Hi I called a funeral home in Smyrna and they said the office for the Mapleview Cem. was in the City Hall and gave me the phone # 615-355-5782. I called and they said he is there and the date he was buried was 17 March 1954. I hope this helps. Gail
I wrote to Rootsweb about some of you getting double messages and recieved the following. <<Hi, They should check the time/date stamps in the headers of the duplicates they receive. If they are the same, their ISP is looping the message and resending it to them. Pat>> If this continues, please let me know what ISP you are using, and how often it is happening, and whether the time date stamps are the same on the messages. Sue and Ed. If I'm not mistaken, finding George Nash in the Murf. jail fits into some other things we have found out about him. Wasn't there something else shady connected with him, Ed? Mecca
Hi Ed, I didn't find William Nash in the 1850 Rutherford census. I found in the Jeffersn District the following: Virginia Nash 22, Caladonia? 6, Geo 3 and Eldra? 6 mos. Also found George Nash 33 in the Murfreesboro jail. Sue

I couldn't figure out how to save it to my genealogy program, so I printed, scanned it then saved it. The records are clear and easy to use. Would sure appreciate a lookup in the 1850 Census for G.R. NASH (probably George R.) and William NASH. May be located in the 6th District near Jefferson. Thanks in advance, Ed Waller
