    2. Deborah H Maddox
    3. Hi Gina, I too know very little of my Hunt line. My ggg-grandfather was Hickman B. Hunt. He married Nancy "Nicey" Sutton in Rutherford County on September 21, 1837. His son, Joseph E. Hunt was my gg-grandfather (married 1st Allie Zuck; 1 child born Asa Staley Hunt; then married 2nd Cora Emma Fuqua - children were Saleta, J. Elliott and Lanny). Some how Nancy Ann Anderson (who married Alexander McClendon) is tied into this family. She was the "aunt" of either Joseph Hunt or his children. When Joseph's first wife died, my grandmother told me that Joseph & his son Asa lived with Aunt Nancy McClendon. I'm still trying to figure this puzzle out. I've heard the names Hustus Hunt and Mahala Hunt, but I don't have a clue if they tie in with my Hunt's or not. I'd sure like to find out who Hickman Hunt's parents were that would give some clues on siblings, etc. I need to check the census records of Rutherford & Davidson Counties. I live in Lexington, South Carolina and go to Nashville several times a year, but I've not had the time to do any research while I've been there. I usually come up on the weekends and visit my family. I'm planning a trip up there the week of Thanksgiving, and I hope to get some more research done then. I'll let you know what I find out. Please keep in touch and let me hear from you and how your research is going. If I come across your names, I'll save the info. and let you know. Take care & God Bless, Deborah Hunt Maddox Lexington, SC On Sat, 22 Sep 2001 20:43:37 EDT GW7909@aol.com writes: > Hi Deborah, > > I know very little of my Hunt line. 2. I have one Youree in my mother's family tree. Susan Woods, daughter of Stephen Henry Woods (1824-1906)and Mary J. Lyon, (1831-1871) married Jen Youree. I do not know Susan's dob, but Stephen's first wife died 1853. Susan was of the 2nd marriage. Stephen Henry Woods practiced medicine in Cannon Co., Bradyville I think, then moved on to Rutherford Co.

    1. [TNRUTHER] Hunt's - Rutherford Cty - attn Deborah Maddox
    2. Hi Deborah, I know very little of my Hunt line. I am looking for parents and siblings of Hustus Hunt that married Elizabeth Winston in 1853. Also, for Mahala E Hunt that married Elizabeth's brother, Isaac N. Winston in 1847. All I have found on Hustus is where he was in court in 1852 in Wilson County, where he married Elizabeth in Rutherford County in 1853, and a court petition for divorce filed by Elizabeth in 1856. They only had one known son, Joseph Alexander. Elizabeth and Joseph moved to Huntsville, Madison County, Al by 1860. The other Hunt's I have been researching, yet do not know if they connect, are the Hunt's descended from John Hunt, founder of Huntsville, Al. They seem to be everywhere. Have you ever seen these names? Anything would be helpful. I will go to Wilson County and Rutherford in a few weeks or so to check the court minutes. I think these Hunt's may tie into the Baird family. Other counties include Davidson, Franklin, Bedford and others. Thanks, Gina Walling Huntsville, AL
