Hi. Did you mean Fagan/Feagan, with an "F"? If so, it certainly sounds like there might be a connection, but I don't have much more on the Harrises, either. Do you know of a Charles T. Harris or Elizabeth Feagan? Their daughters md. in the 1850s-1860s, so they would have been one generation older than that. --- Eugene & Debbi Loney <edloney@muhlon.com> wrote: > I have Eagans married into my Whitson line and > probably connected to my > harris line who are also from Wilson co. I know of some Pucketts of Rutherford Co., later Henry Co., TN. Names include Arthur, Leonard, Elizabeth, several others I would have to look up. They md. Hopes, Whitlocks. Leonard had a son named Socrates, several others also. At least one of his sons served in the Civil War from Henry Co. Any connection? --- DRGEJG@aol.com wrote: > Am researching the following surnames in > Rutherford County (with varying > degrees of success! :-): > Rowland, Brown (Lent Brown family), McCoy, > Whitus, Puckett, Blankenship __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Interested in the Marshall and Mitchell families that lived in the part of Williamson County that became Rutherford Co. I am told that my Mitchell ancestor's maiden name was Stone but I don't have much information on that line. Helen helen.seaton@asu.edu

I've been reading the Kate Carney diary. She was a Murfreesboro native who was visiting her grandfather's plantation in Ms...then came home...1861-62. It mentions quite a few Rutherford County names, among them is Dr. Baskett. I think Kate's Mom must have been a Lytle. (not sure...) It's linked off our Rutherford site or you can go straight to the page at http://docsouth.unc.edu/imls/carney/carney.html Y'all have a great new year! I am trying to figure out the parents of Mary Elizabeth MCLIN, who married Benjamin Michaux CLOPTON in Rutherford County in 1849 and died in Rutherford County in 1850. I think she was born about 1825. Roger Bartlett Austin, Texas
I am researching Sanders, Rice, Flowers, Robertson. Drennan, Foster,Perry, and Spain. These folks lived in north Rutherford and south Wilson. They seemed to go back and forth. Thomas B Rice was a Preb. preacher in Wilson for a time in the late 1880's.
