My gggfather and gggmother, John and Nancy Robinson/Robison Family lived in Bradley County TN during the 1870, 1860, 1850 and possibly 1840 census. Before 1836, Bradley county was Indian territory, and I have no idea where they lived before that. According to the records that I can find, He was born in Tennessee and she in Georgia. The area of Bradley County in which they lived is very near the Red Clay GA area, so that one isn't much of a stretch. Now the real question comes in where were they before that? Tombstones say that he was born in 1812 and she in 1822. I did find an entry for them in the IGI that said that he was born in 1809. In any case, it was in that time frame! Anybody have any ideas about sources of info from Rhea, Meigs or McMinn counties. I saw a posting this morning about some info from the Families of Rhea County, and that prompted this posting.
