The reason I am so interested in this family is because Lydia Petty married John A. Montgomery and are the parents of Dora I Montgomery who married Marshall J. McFarlen/in/and parents of Clarence Oliver McFarlen/in/and who married Martha Anna McKay parents of Dora I McFarlen/in/and who married Carl Freeman Hagy parents of Archie Isaac Hagy (my father). Petty living with Lydia Hatly 56 NC #168 and Lydia Petty and a George W. Dowdy 24 KY. They lived next door to James Dowdy #167. Lydia Hatly might be their mother or Aunt.
