    1. [TNROOTS-L] Looking for CUTRELL before 1820 somewhere in TN
    2. Tina Hall
    3. Here is my delimma - Milney Unknown b. abt 1775 NC married an Unknown Cutrell also from NC (assumed). They married at least by 1794 as first known child, Nancy, was born 1795 in NC. Milney & Mr. Cutrell had the following children: Nancy b. 1795, m. Charles HENRY 1810 Wilson co., TN Joseph (MY LINES) b. 3-11-1800 N, m. Margaret SPRING 1823 Wilson co., TN Charles N. b. 1805 NC, m. Mary Ann LEWIS 1837 Wilson co., TN Midgett G. b. 7-13-1808 NC, m. Frances SWANN 1830 Wilson co., TN Courtney b. 1809-10 TN, m. William Cornelous CUTRELL 1840 Clark Co., IL I need to find the father for these children. He must have died prior to the 1820 census, because in 1820 in Wilson county, TN I find Milney as head of h/h. By 1830, her son, Joseph is head of h/h, and Milney is living with him. (Same house? unknown, but could be.) I can't find any court records on them, but something should exist. In 1820, Joseph is 20, Charles is 15, Midgett is 12, and Courtney is 10. There must have been a guardian named for these minor children, but I can't locate anything. There should be some type of probate, or estate sale or something on the father. If anyone has access to court records in Wilson and/or Smith county. I'd truly appreciate a lookup to see if anything exists. This surname has been found spelled in many ways and misspelled many times. Cuthrell, Cutrell, Cotherell, Cothrell, Catril, etc. thanks folks, Tina Hall [email protected] Tina's Family Genealogy Page at: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~thall/ Steve and Tina's Home Pages at: http://home1.gte.net/res00waz/index.html ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ If you cannot get rid of the family skeleton, make it dance! ~George Bernard Shaw ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
