Hi List, I need your honest opinions, suggestions and help. If Missouri census states that a particular ancestor was born in Tennessee and by this you have an approximate birth date (@1815 Tenn) for him. You also have the same for his wife (b:@1815 Tenn), by the same source. Family history handed down and apparently documented by a death certificate, has their first born child born in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee in 1835. Within the next 2-3 years they are in Missouri as supported by the following childrens birth location on Missouri 1840 census. I have no other location to go on other that Nashville and I do not have paternal ancestral information for this line. I estimate that this couple was married @1834 in Tenn, but have not been able to locate a marriage record or where in Tenn it took place. I know very little about the maternal ancestors for this family, and nothing strong to go on to pinpoint a search area. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I would procede with this? This is a Dalton surname line but I have not been able to connect it with any known Dalton lines in Tennessee as yet. It has been a major brick wall for other researchers as well. Your help is very appreciated. Bev Clark
