If someone has access to TN marriage records in the late 1920's - 1930 I would appreciate a lookup for the following: Virgie Mae BARNETT The story is: In 1931, Virgie Mae placed her month old daughter [Nora] up for adoption in Chattanooga, TN. The child has received a copy of the adoption records, etc. [which did not become available until a few years ago]--the father was listed as Earl MASON. Nora was adopted to a very nice family, her name changed, and now resides in MS. Virgie Mae died in Jacksonville, FL, 1940/41--do not know her last name at the time of death.
