While realizing that tintype photography was basically used before 1860's when "paper" photography came into mode.....I'd like to know if folks think that tintypes were used after 1860 and to what extent. My cousin has a tintype of a grandmother who was apx. 65-75 years of age in the tintype. If that tin was done before 1860 that would make this lady born late 1700's. What do you folks think?
