Since Ike's (Andrew and Elizabeth Hitchcock McCoy's son) taxes were paid on 101 aces near the community of Dry Creek, And Isaac Hitchcock is burried at Dry Creek, Also I found a Dry Creek School in Hardin Co. that was listed as historial at the USGS site Bill sent me yesturday, I would bet Dry creek is/was more than just a dry creek bed.
