Dody - A mapquest.com search for 'Dry Creek, TN' returns a community in East Tennessee, southwest of Johnson Ciry and northwest of Erwin in what looks like Greene County. There is a Dry Creek which feeds Pickwick Lake in Hardin County - just to the north of Lauderdale County, Alabama. I found the below which implies that the mentioned 'Dry Creek' is a community and not just the creek - had it been, I think they would have said 'on Dry Creek', but this does seem to link well to the above data. found at: http://www.couchgenweb.com/family/hitch.htm "Isaac Hitchcock was on the Hardin Co.
