To list readers, I wonder if any readers of this list have been researching WILSON surname. I trying to find any information regarding a George Wilson a merchant in Nashville TN sometime in the 1840s (or thereabouts). I know for a fact that he was "an English gentleman", that he married Eugenia G Kingsley in June 1836, and later had to raise three small children of his (all under the age of 4 years) when his wife died suddenly in 1841. It would seem that someone from England living in Nashville at that time would have received some attention in documented history of the period in Tennessee, especially Nashville as it probably did not have a large population. davidk
