Hi Dal Thanks for the hint. My Barnabas (Barney) was born 1802 and died 1862 and is buried in Marshall cty Tenn. He lived all his adult life in Giles and Marshall counties. He was a justice of the peace and served on the grand jury in Giles Cty. We think he is related to the McCollums in New Jersey and Pennsylvania who migrated south. We just can't connect him to a parent. Thanks for the help Joanne -----Original Message----- From: Dallas Greer <[email protected]> To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Date: Monday, January 08, 2001 2:59 PM Subject: Re: [TNROOTS-L] McCollum Search >Joanne, try this link it might help!!!! >http://geocities.com/dalhettick/TID-BITS.html >DAL in Federal Way > >Western Williams wrote: > >> Hi >> >> I have been hitting a brick wall for a long time in my search for the family of BARNABAS MCCOLLUM. Census data in Giles Cty Tennessee shows his birth place to be North Carolina. We think it may be in an area that was N Carolina and later became part of Tennessee. I am trying to identify is parents. One possiblity is JOHN MCCOLLUM who was found in Warren Cty Tennessee in the early 1800's. Barnabas was born in 1802. He had a brother named Curtis and another possibly named James. >> >> Does anyone have any helpful clues or suggestions about were I can find information about Barnabas? >> >> Thanks >> >> Joanne in Seattle >> >> ==== TNROOTS Mailing List ==== >> For researching all Rootsweb List Archives, >> please go to http://archiver.rootsweb.com/ > > >==== TNROOTS Mailing List ==== > >
