    3. A file is kept at ETHS on each First Family. You can search these files at the society. I have a family listed (Cabbage) and I found a cousin (Vandergrift) when researching other submissions. There is extensive information in those files. Sue Maniez

    3. Please remember that this is a published book, use it as a reference to locate your data. I met someone online that stated he submitted his tree to the 1st Families. His ancestor had a brother William from ca. 1750's. My ancestor had the same name, ca. 1750's and resided on the other side of the same county. He submitted my William as a brother to his ancestor. He had not documented his work, figured they had to be brothers since they had the same name and lived in the same county. He was trying to submit his tree prior to a deadline. They are not brothers, I located another researcher that was a descendant of the other William. I asked if he made a correction with the 1st Families and he would not tell me. I have a cousin that gave me two different sets of parents for this same William and states in both submissions that they came from the family Bible. One version is now being sold through a CD and the other version is published online. The 1st tree of his caused me to be out on a dead limb, it took alot of very hard work to locate multiple errors. I have documentation up to William and I'm now waitng for documentation that William's parents are really someone else entirely different. Patti
