Guston (Gustas) Benton Hill married Melissa Emerine Conatser and together had several children. O. C. (thought to stand for Oren Charles, or Orin Charles or even Otis C. Hill. He was born in 1898 in Fentress Co., TN. Sometime between 1898 and 1925, O. C. evidentially moved from TN to Mingo County, WV, where he was a coal miner. On or about December 18,1925, O.C. Hill married Rebecca Katherine Musick in Pikeville, Pike Co., KY.. Can anyone help me out here? I have reached a brick wall. I can't find Guston Benton's parents, and I can't find any proof that my grandfather even existed, other than his death certificate and a certificate of birth after the fact via affidavits. I think he worked in Red Jacket at the mines and was friends with Charlie Hatfield. If anyone has information, please write me (or if you have places I could look that I haven't thought of). My e-mail addy is BGKBear2@aol.com
