Connie - The link is too long for the format here. One has to click on the link and then add the additional data which is on the second line. The easy way is to go to: http://www.zwire.com/site/News.cfm?brd=2040 Then, in the search window, type 'coffin'. The search will return only this option: Date Headline Jul 16, 2002 19th century burial customs explored By clicking on the headline, it will take you to the page. It is a good read. I am looking for information concerning the following Kerseys in TN. I have exhausted all the info on the Web. Is anyone connected to them or has any information that might help me? I. Thomas Kersey ( of Bledsoe Co. TN) sold land in Bledsoe Co. TN, July 20 1824. It appears that this same Thomas Kersey (then living in Marion Co TN) sold another parcel of land in Bledsoe Co. TN, Sept. 28, 1825. Does anyone know when or where he was born, name of spouse, etc? Anything would help. 2. Molly Kersey is listed in the 1838 Tax List of Marion Co TN. Does anyone know who she was? 3. A Thomas Kersey and Millie Austin were married in 1804 in Knox Co TN. Any info on these names? I would be very grateful for any help. Pat Henry
I am trying to locate information on my grandfather, whose name was ALBERT HERNDON, who came from Tennessee. I do not know the name of his wife; it may have been Martha, but I am not sure. They had three children, James Levoid, Clarence, and Alta. I have no idea what county they came from. The birth dates of the children are: Clarence Almon Herndon 6-5-1903 James Levoid Herndon 7-21-1905 Alta Herndon 5-17-1907 __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
