    1. [TNROOTS] JENNINGS in middle TN
    2. My greatgrandmother Lucy Susan Watts JENNINGS was born in VA about 1845. She was the oldest child of George David Washington JENNINGS and Sarah MARKS, both born in VA. Lucy had three younger siblings who lived to adulthood, John JENNINGS, Griffin Marks JENNINGS, and Mary Frances JENNINGS. Sarah died and the family is supposed to have moved to middle TN when Lucy was a young girl. In 1875, she married John Terrell FIELDS in Dyer County, TN, and they moved to Gayoso, Pemiscot County, MO. In the 1880 census, they are back in Dyer County, TN. John, Griffin Marks and his wife, and Mary Frances and her son are in the household. John and Lucy FIELDS had three children while they lived in MO. Does anyone have any record of this family in middle TN, 1855 - 1875? I am particularly interested in finding the burial place of George JENNINGS. Thanks, Billie in MO

Pam ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ o I've recently posted several lists of genealogical treasures found in an antique shop in Hampstead, England, but instead of posting the rest, I have added a page to my Web site, with the complete list, plus 1881-1901 census and other material to help identify the people concerned. The names mentioned are: BAILY, BARBER, BAYES, BELL, BILLINGTON, BRIDE, BROWN, BUCHANAN, BURFORD, BURNAND, BUSFIELD, CARTWRIGHT, CAVET, COALES, DALES, DAVIDSON, DICKENSON, DOWNING, DYSON, EDWARDS, ELDRIDGE, ETHERINGTON, FEIST, FENTON, FITNESS, FOOTER, FOX, FULLER, GALE, GARRETT, GERREN, GILSTON, GOODFELLOW, GREGORY, HATCH, HICKOX, HORRELL, IRONMONGER, ISAAC, IZOD, JACOBS, JENNISON, JENSEN, KNIGHT, LANDSDALE, LEACH, LEDWITH, LIBERTY, LIVERMORE, MARCHANT, McNEILL, MERRITT, MILLIDGE, MOODY, MORRISON, MUNDY, MYNN, ORTON, OSBORNE, OXFORD, PALMER, PARKER, PARNELL, PHELPS, RAWSON, REDPATH, REED, ROBSON, ROGERS, RUNDELL, SHELDON, SHERLOCK, SHINN, SILVESTER, SMITH, SPRATT, STACHOWIAK, TALBOT, TAYLOR, TURLEY, UPCOTT, WARD, WARNER, WATSON, WHITE, WILLEY, and WYLIE. Use the search engine to find your name. http://www.lindynewman.co.uk Lindy Newman lindy.newman@virgin.net o I have an 8 x 10 photo of Christopher U. KREIG, Jr. He is not my relative and I will be glad to send this picture to a member of his family. I found him in the 1920 census living in Nashville, Tennessee. It looks like his age at that time was 43. It shows him living with his father, brother, and sister. It says that he was born in Texas and his father was born in West Virginia. The back of the picture states: Chris U. KREIG, Criminal Court Clerk, Nashville, Tennessee, friend of Mr. GOULD. I also have two photos of Harry M. GOULD which I will be glad to send to his relatives. He is not my relative. The back of the picture states: Harry M. GOULD, Pres. of Gould Contracting Co., Nashville, Tennessee. Please contact me at my e-mail address. 2. Hello folks, Saw this in Missing Links and am passing it along, for neatness sake I'm only including the Tennessee info, there was quite a bit more and you can find the whole article at the link below: o I found these things in an antique shop in Hampstead, London, England. I have no interest, except hoping to find the families they belong to. They are a veritable treasure trove for anyone interested, from the 1880s onwards. [Editor's Note: I assume the dates are written English style. For example, I am guessing that "1.6.1913" is 1 June 1913, which would be written by an American 6-1-1913. I have not touched the dates in this notice, but I do wish everyone would write dates in a form that requires no explanation or caveat for some readers.] -- Postcard 1.6.1913 showing lady and baby, marked Kathleen Agnes DOWNING, aged 2mths. 1. [TNROOTS] French and Indian war
    2. Faye Parker
    3. I recieved this from another list and thought some of the names were really interesting Subject: [SC] Re: WASHINGTON's men of a French and Indian War... Please note the quotations marks at the beginning; they are of the same source, not my own notations. I have marked names most often associated with our families. Examples: 1. CALDWELL-RITCHEY-RODGERS...seen in SC later. 2. POOLE m. HOLLOWAY...seen in SC later Sincerely, Audrey Source: The Old Free State (Lunenburg County, VA), The French and Indian Wars "It is quite impossible to rescue the names even of all the soldiers of Lunenburg who participated in the various military activities beginning with WASHINGTON'S expedition to the Ohio, in 1754, and ending with the defeat of the Indians at Point Pleasant, October 19, 1774, much less to indicate with any degree of certainty the specific service rendered by any great number of them. "The list of those who participated in some manner in these military operations, so far as such a list can now be compiled, is too important to be omitted. Enjoy! Pam ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ o I have a booklet, "Testimony of One Thousand Witnesses, Alkavis, Nature's Great Botanic Curative for Kidney, Blood and Urinary Diseases," published by The Church Kidney Cure Co., The Albany Building, Cincinnati, Ohio. The latest date I see in it is 1898. It has pictures of some of the witnesses, including my great-great-grandparents, Thomas Griffin BLACK and Elizabeth PILGRIM BLACK. I will scan pictures and send them by e-mail to anyone who is related to the following: Mrs. M. J. MAYES of Whiteville, Tennessee Mr. W. A.
