Hi all, I have just updated and refurbished my Virginia death certificates website. Since Tennessee and Virginia are so close and some of our ancestors lived in both states, I thought you may be inetrested. Also I have a link to the site for Vital records for the state of Tennessee. Among other things I have added links to more states for getting vital records Here is the link to this site: http://virginiaobits.homestead.com/vadc.html Thank you! Beth [email protected]

HI, My name is Chris and I am from N.C. I have just joined the list because I have just learned of my first ancestor that migrated to Tenn. I am told that she migrated to Tenn. sometime after 1880. If anyone has access to Tenn. census records after 1880 I would very much appreciate if you could check to see if there is a Unity Rhodes. She should be in the neighborhood of 38 years old. Any info of any kind will be a great help and very much appreciated. I may be contacted directly at [email protected] Thanks in advance, Chris

Have you tried Carter County? I'm not sure the boundaries in the 1700's but Carter Co borders Washington Co and that is where "Watauga" is currently located. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] <[email protected]> To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Date: Saturday, November 04, 2000 10:45 PM Subject: [TNROOTS-L] Baxter and Watuga Settlers >Does anyone know where I can find info on Watuga Settlers? Just so everyone sees it: www.tngenweb.org/washington www.tngenweb.org/jefferson [email protected] to subscribe to the list. Once subbed ask for Joy Been Wiggins. She is "quite" the expert on Watuga. Also once to the Washington County site be sure to look for "Goodspeeds History of......" Joyce Gaston Reece, Rootsweb Listminder for NE-TN; Hembree; Galbraith; Knuckles; Raper & Meigs Co., Tennessee
