Yes, some of mine were in NC--some were Quakers born at Cane Creek Monthly Meeting area in North Carolina. Have you put up a post on the MCCOLLUM list? Elise

He was born July 1827 in Tennessee. married an IZABEL ???? who was born in 1835 in Tennessee. They had been married 47 years..which puts the marriage abt. 1852/53. states they had 12 children with 10 living. One child still living in the household, Ida Gray, divorced age 23 born April 1877 in Texas. Living next to their daughter and son in law. Thomas A Gregory. and Belle Gray Gregory. I found my answer to where Granny Lewis Creek is--it's in Unicoi Co. TN, with Granny Lewis Trail. Now my question is: Does anyone know who these 2 places were named after? Or know how I can find out? Thanks. Mona
I am unfamiliar with anyone by that name. My father was born in Tenn in about 1879. I live in Calif and Oregon so I am unable to do any local TN research. Robert Rowe
I don't have a Rogers in my genealogy. I live in Oregon and Calif. My father was born in Tenn about 1879. Thanks, Bob Rowe

I was looking at some paperwork after I got home today and thought I would put in another request to see if you might have access to this information also. My great-grandfather, Swain G. Dannelley was supposed to have served in the Tennessee Infantry in the Civil War, 28th Tennessee, I believe. I have found nothing that certifies this, and neither he nor his wife apparently applied for his pension, so his records are not available here in Texas where they moved in 1880. If you have any access to any civil war records, would appreciate any kind of lookup you might be able to do. His last name can be spelled many various ways, even with an "o" rather than an "a." Thanks, Sandra Camp
