I have posted off and on for over 2 years now, but it's not stopping me from posting again. Some day, someone will have the info I need. I am searching for a MORTON family that had a James in it (born between 1780-1790) that ended up at some point living in Anderson County, TN. He is listed in that county's census for that year and was between 40-50 years of age. Trying desperately to find the proof that he might be my gg-grandfather, David MORTONs, parents. I have no idea who his parents were, but living nearby was a Tilda MORTON (older than this James) and she could also be the mother of our David. Thanks so much for checking your records. Nina
