I think Alpha Barnett was NOT the mother of any Blackwell children. There was a marriage for a George W. Blackwell to Alsey Martin, which may have resulted in a tree like this: {I can't be sure it is the same George W. Blackwell, but it does seem to be--son of RW soldier, David Blackwell. Hugh BLACKWELL was administer of the estate and David BLACKWELL was appointed guardian of George W. and Betsey J. BLACKWELL, James and Elisha MARTIN were appointed guardians of Amy M. BLACKWELL. Roane County Court September term 1841. pp. 59-61 Thomas J. Underwood, Samuel Margrave & Thomas N. Clark, Jun., commissioners set apart a years support for the widow and children of George W.
