Peggy, I'm not a Winton descendant. My husband's g-grandparents, Daniel and Mary Jane (Greer) Fine are buried at Martel Cemetery along with Daniel's brother and his some of his family. The church and cemetery are located 2 or 3 miles from where we live. I believe it was Rev. John Winton that settled in the Muddy Creek / Martel area and started with camp ground meetings that lead to the establishment of Muddy Creek/Martel Church.
