Looking for info on Jonah/Jonas Smith born 1858 in Overton County. Married Martha Cromwell of Morgan County possibly in 1883. Jonah died in the 1929 flood in Roane County at the age of 80. He was paralized and unable to leave his home. His body was found about 40-50 miles downstream from Harriman. Located his obituary today. It states that he was born in Overton County... His children are: Teallie Smith Webb, Andrew, Mona Smith Henry, Kate Smith Matheney, Carrie Smith-Norris-Milligan, John Washington, Laura Mae Smith Webb and Myrtle Smith McKinney.
