The reason for my interest in this is that Bazell Human & Solomon Gerron posted a $1250 bond stating that there was no reason that Bazzle & Wineford not be married. That was MEGA bucks in 1797 & typically the second individual on a marriage bond was usually a relative or close friend to one or the other of the persons that were being married. As I understand it Wineford was widow of Thomas Gilliam & her maiden name was GEORGE. I know that Bazell & Wineford named one of their sons "Solomon". There may be some family connection here - do you know of any? ----- Original Message ----- From: Jamey McLoughlin Sent: Friday, March 08, 2002 10:07 PM To: TNROANE-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [TNROANE] Edward Owings, et al Solomon and Eleanor are buried in the Gerron-Bullard grave yard in what is now the Walnut Hill area of Harriman. I just take it the home they lived in was near by. He was well known in Roane County at one time and was probably a little more well to do then most folks around here at one time. Our line that came into Knox Co. and then Roane had some George connections in Knox or Grainger Co., Tn. It was the Hinds and Hankins families and there were connections in Knox and Roane to the Geron family but I believe the Hinds may have connected back up in N. J. or N. Y. before 1763. ----- Original Message ----- From: Ernest Hurst <ernesthurst@msn.com> To: <TNROANE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, March 09, 2002 4:55 AM Subject: Re: [TNROANE] Edward Owings, et al > The reason for my interest in this is that Bazell Human & Solomon Gerron posted a $1250 bond stating that there was no reason that Bazzle & Wineford not be married.
