    1. [TNROANE] Elusive BURNETTS
    2. I have a marriage list from Roane Co. for Stacy and Silas Burnett married Sept 7 1812. Page 3,685 Batch film 7713702 sheet 51. They are not on the 1830 census. Since Roane involved many counties I do not know where to look as they are not listed in Roane Co. per say. Would that film tell me anything about her parents? Who they are or what county they were in when they got married? Would appreciate any infor on this family. Thanks Phyllis SPencer

    3. That is Stacy Burnett married to Silas Luttrell on that date. Bondsmen were Silas Luttrell and Moses Burnett. I believe Silas died about 1851 in Roane County. 3. Phyllis, Here is what I could pull out of the 1830 census for Roane & Knox Cos. for both BURNETT & LUTTRELL (& variations). I hope this may help you start to figure out the parents of Silas & Stacy (BURNETT) LUTTRELL. Good luck with your search. Ken Parks Only Silas LUTTRELL listed in the 1830 TN census is: Silas LUTTRELL-Knox Co. page 323--110101-201101 To break that down: 1 male under 5 years old 1 male 5-10 0 males 10-15 1 male 15-20 0 males 20-30 1 male 30-40 2 females under 5 0 females 5-10 1 female 10-15 1 female 15-20 0 females 20-30 1 female 30-40 The only LUTTRELL listed in 1830 Roane Co. census: George LUTTRELL-p 10--200201-112001 (Same age range as Silas, not likely the father) LUTTERELL listings in Roane Co.: Nelson LUTTERELL-p 47--00010001-0101101 (Nelson 50-60 yrs old) Mason LUTTERELL-p 48--0000001-2322001 (Mason 40-50) Martin LUTTERELL-p 55--1011001-0001101 (Martin 40-50) Of these, only Nelson would be old enought to be father of Silas. LUTTRELLs in Knox Co. 1830 census: Silas LUTTRELL-p 323 (see above) Edward LUTTRELL-p 325--0000000001-0000000001 (both 70-80 yrs old) John LUTTRELL-p 328--10001-20001001 Martha LUTTRELL-p 329--0001-0010001 (Martha 40-50) James LUTTRELL-p 355--1000100001-0000100001 (both 70-80 yrs old) William LUTTRELL-p 362--01010001-0111001 (William 50-60) Lewis LUTTRELL-p 362--2000001-12101 (Lewis 40-50) [note: William & Lewis listed next door to each other] Elizabeth LUTTRELL-p 394--10012-10002001 (50-60 yrs old) John LUTTRELL-p 394--000110001-000010001 (both 60-70 yrs old) [note: Elizabeth & John listed 12 households apart on same page] Jackson LUTTRELL-p395--10001-0001 Those listed above with age ranges COULD possibly be old enough to be father or mother of Silas. BURNETT: ROANE Co. 1830 census: Carter BARNETT-p 56--110010001-1002001 (Carter 60-70) Moses BURNET-p 48--00100001-0012101 (Moses 50-60) William BURNETT-p 15--00001-0100100001 Samuel BURNETT-p 26--100001-120001 Hiram BURNETT-p 36--20001-01001 Jefferson BURNETT-p 45--21002-00001 James BURNETT-p 61--000000001-000000001 (Both 60-70) Of the above, only Moses & James are old enough to be father of Stacy (BURNETT) LUTTRELL. KNOX Co. 1830 census: Judah BARNETT-p 318--002-00010001 Jane BARNETT-p 359--00001-0001001 (Jane 40-50) William BARNETT-p 394--00001000101-00020001 (William 60-70 or 80-90) John BARNETT-p 395--00001-10001 [note: some of these BARNETTs are on the same page or near other BURNETTs and LUTTRELLS--always a possibility transcriber misread name] Jeremiah BURNETT-p 335--110001-10001 Mabel BURNETT-p 355--01001-210001 Joseph BURNETT-p 358--00001-10001 Howel BURNETT-p 361--10101-10001 Samuel BURNETT-p 387--00002-10001 Zachariah BURNETT-p 388--001001-111 Lemuel BURNETT-p 388--020001-20001001 Judah BURNETT-p 388--000111-00001001 [note: Zachariah 6 households away from Lemuel/Lemuel & Judah next door to each other] Elisha BURNETT-p 395--00001-10001 None of the male BURNETTS in Knox Co. are old enough to be father of Stacy (BURNETT) LUTTRELL. Looking at all the above, Moses BURNET (Ro-p 48) & Nelson LUTTERELL (Ro-p 47) are both old enough to be the parents of the couple in question and are living near each other, though it's hard to estimate proximity from page numbers alone, but I think this is a good possibility to start with. Do the names Moses or Nelson turn up in children or grandchildren of Silas & Stacy?
