I am looking for any information on the surname GOUGE. My GOUGE family was in Rhea Co. on the 1808 tax list and Rhea county was formed from Roane county. I think they might have some early records in Roane. Our Sarah Gouge married James W. Mckinney around 1809. They were living in Campbell Co. TN after they were married but no marriage records are there. The Gouge family had William, James, and Martin that were in Rhea Co. Thank you. Wilma McKinney
