I have added a few things lately, including some family info generously shared by other researchers. I have a few more photos to add soon. I've caught a few typos, but there's probably more. Please double check anything you find on my site. I also have added some photos to my Oliver Springs Historical Society web site. It may be of passing interest to those of you who have never been to Roane County, and perhaps bring back some fond memories to those who have been to Oliver Springs. I was there recently, and pleased to learn that some of the old homes there are being restored, as well as many new items in the Depot Museum. What an active Historical Society for a small town! The same kind of thing is going in other Roane towns. Additionally, I have made a MyFamily site (private) for SILVEY researchers. If anyone is interested in seeing it, let me know and I'll add you to the list if you want. And, I have been contacted by a man in Australia who is doing a bio on JOHNNY DUNCAN for a soon to be released music CD. Seems Johnny was born in Windrock (Anderson County) ca 1932, son of Columbus Duncan. He joined the Army, and spent some time in Europe, then Australia where he now lives. He never really made it big in this country, but has become very well known (country music) in Europe and Australia. Small world, huh?
