This good news from the DAR in Roane County: Pat McDonald =============== The DAR and City of Kingston is restoring the ancient Bethel Cemetery. We have a company from McMinnville restoring the broken markers and "setting up" the unlevel markers. The City is furnishing prison labor to clean all the brush and overgrowth so it can be seen from the road. The markers will be cleaned when finished and the DAR is going to identify the markers plus researching records of those buried there and have not markers. When finished we are going to make a self-guided tour and map. Would you put this info on your web pages to your friends, asking those that have relatives/friends buried to come forward pass the info on to us/you. Also, they can contribute money - if so desired.
