Also, Elizebeth may be listed as Eliza or with the middle initial A. in one of those two censuses. There are no RAINWATERs in Roane Co. in the 1880 census, so one would assume they moved to Roane Co. between 1880-1885. There is no listing of a George A. RAINWATER in Tennessee in the 1880 census. There are a number of RAINWATERS in Jefferson Co., and well as some in Bedford, Benton, Fayette, Montgomery, & Stewart Cos. in TN, but no George, George A., G.A. or combination of the name and initial. There are no listings for RAINWATER in the 1920 Roane Co. census, nor are there any RAINWATER listings in the Roane Co. cemetery books, so looks like they moved out of the county at some point.
