Hello List, I am searching for information on a railroad accident that happened at Cardiff, Tn. Sept. 6, 1900. A brakeman fell from the train and was run over and killed. The newspaper in Chatt. said that the body was carried to Rockwell and returned to Chatt.by train. Does anyone know of any newspaper in the area that may have carried the story or any other records that may be available concerning this accident. This man was my grandfather William L. Sharpe he was employed by the Cincinnati Southern Railroad (now the Norfork Southern). He was living in Chatt. at the time of his death.
