Thanks everyone for the history and information on Rockwood. I just found out that a fellow telephone equipment installer worked on installing the new switching office in Rockwood in the early 1950s. To bad I didn't get that assignment. I would still like to find out if there are any copies of the old newspapers available. Like the Roane Co. News.
