GRUBB REUNION Joseph and Lucinda GRUBB descendants will be having their third reunion this year. We would love for you to join us if you are friend or family of this Grubb family line. They first settled in Roane County about 1832 (Wheat area). PLANS: The reunion is going to be held on Saturday, 25th May 2002 (Memorial weekend), around 11:30 until 5:00. Our plans as of today are to have it at New Bethel Baptist Church on Bethel Valley Road, near X-10 plant, in Oak Ridge, TN. ALTERNATE PLANS: Because of the September 11 attack, security has been tightened at the area we are to use. On each end of Bethel Valley Road guard posts have been erected. But..no one has notified us that we could not use the church. So, the plans are still ON. If something happens that we can not use the church we have made alternate plans. The alternate plans are to have it on the same day and time, but it will be held at Melton Hill Dam at Pavilion #2. They will let you know at the guard stations if we can not meet there. We will also place a sign at the entrance of Melton Hill Dam, if we are to meet there. Melton Hill is only .08 tenth of a mile from interstate 40 going toward Oak Ridge. YOU ARE ASKED TO BRING: (1)Old and new photos of your family. (2)Genealogy information about your family that you would like to share (3)Bring a covered dish, drinks and tableware for you and your family. (4)Lawn chairs.
