Crossville Chronicle obit... Cleo Mae Love Nov. 6, 1924 - May 4, 2003 Cleo Mae Barnwell Love, 78, of Harriman, passed away May 4, 2003. Funeral services were conducted May 7 from the chapel of Evans Mortuary, with interment in the Roane Memorial Gardens. Pastor Jimmy Turner officiated. Mrs. Love was born Nov. 6, 1924 in Crossville and spent the early years of her life in Cumberland County. She had resided in Roane County for the past 60 years. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Crossville for over 60 years. She was a retired sewer with Palm Beach Corporation with 14 years of service where she was a member of the local textile workers union and served as the first president of the local union. She was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed fishing, gardening, quilting and crocheting. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, John Love of Harriman; sons and daughters-in-law, John E. and Linda Love of Oakdale; Dennis and Pat Love, Mark G. Love and Jeff and Pam Love, all of Harriman; grandchildren, John J. Love Jr., Harvey C. Love, Marsha Mae Burgess, Jason Swicegood, Tera Love, Bert Love and Crystal Cord; nine great-grandchildren, sisters and brothers-in-law, Nell Howard of Harriman, Doris and Albert Clark of Harriman, Stacey and Paul Wilbanks of Crossville and Paulette and Willard Kincannon of Harriman; brothers and sisters-in-law, Clyde and Samitine Barnwell of Crossville and Sammie Ray and Pat Barnwell of Crab Orchard; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Nellie Barnwell. Evans Mortuary of Rockwood was in charge of the arrangements.
