Crossville Chronicle obit... Franklin Lowery Jr. May 20, 2003 Franklin Lowery Jr., 68, of Rockwood, passed away May 20, 2003. Funeral services were conducted May 22 from the chapel of Evans Mortuary in Rockwood, with interment in the Harris Cemetery in Alloway, TN. The Rev. Bill Treadway officiated. Mr. Lowery was a faithful member of the Community Baptist Church in Rockwood and was a devoted husband, father and friend. He was a retired furnace operator at Roane Electric Furnace, with 28 years of service. Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Gary W. and Debbie Lowery of Midtown, TN, and Harold and Kathy Lowery of Rockwood; daughter, Phyllis Edington of Rockwood; grandchildren, Tony Lowery, Andy Edington, Ashley Lowery, Tasha Lowery, and Terra Booth and her husband, John; great-grandchildren, Lindsey and Bryson Booth; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rema and Kyle Fitzgerald of Crossville, Inez Fitzgerald of Crossville, Wilma Boles of Spring City, and Mildred and Charles Beard of Kansas City, KS; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Corinne Lowery; wife, Thelma H. Lowery; great-grandson, Dylan Booth; and brother, James Lowery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Evans Mortuary of Rockwood was in charge of the arrangements.
