    3. Sandy, Oliver Springs is at the tip of three counties - Anderson, Morgan and Roane. The "old town" part is mostly in Roane, but generally speaking, you have to research all three counties for OS folks. I have some Brummett info on my web site that may connect. http://www.roanetn.com/brumette.htm Pat McDonald ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sandy Newport" <ladycarver@mvtel.net> To: <TNROANE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, May 22, 2003 11:43 AM Subject: [TNROANE] BRUMMETT & WESTMORELAND > Hi, > I have been trying to find my great grandparents, Harrison and > Elizabeth COLE WESTMORELAND m. 19 Aug. 1894 and Tom and Martha BRUMMETT > McELROY m..24 Dec. 1897. 3. Pat, Thanks for your reply. I have those stories in my files just in case they ever match up!! All I have on my Martha is "I think her dad might have been a preacher." There are three (I think) Martha Brummetts around the same date with various spellings of the last name, but I haven't been able to figure out which one is mine without dates and parents. There isn't an application to marry and I haven't found a birth certificate. I think she died in Harriman in the '50's and her husband Tom died in the Emory River flood in the late '20's. His name was George Thomas but he went by Tom. She never remarried and as far as I remember she was always called Grandma McElroy.
