I recently discovered that my ggggrandfather, James MORGAN, was born in Roane County in abt. 1826. His parents were Thomas and Sarah MORGAN. Sarah's maiden name is unknown at this time, but it was possibly WILLETT. Thomas was b. abt. 1786 and Sarah b. abt. 1787. Thomas and Sarah and one daughter Melvina later settled in Bradley County, while their son James settled nearby in Georgetown, TN in James (now Hamilton) County.
