Don, Don't know if I'm the correct Donna, but I can answer your question re: the pension papers. The National Archives keep all the records and you can contact them to get a copy of your ancestor's pension info. Quite often, there is a wealth of information that you might not have gotten anywhere else. You need the full name of the serviceman, the war he served in and the state from which he entered service. You can (and should if you can) supply additional info - like what company, navy or army, etc. You need to have a form NATF 80, Order for Copies of Veterans Records, which is free. Address is General Reference Branch (NNRG), National Archives and Records Admin., 8th and Penn. Ave., NW., Washington, D.C. 20408. Good luck.
