I've been told both John and Jacob mentioned earlier are descendants of Abraham Waden Hagler, born ca 1766 in Wilkes Co NC. Wife Ester Natherly. I cannot document that, but it is something you might want to check out. John of 1789 is supposed to be son of Abraham. His brother, Thomas b 5 Nov 1791 in Wilkes Co NC, m. Susannah Peake in 1815 Anderson Co. TN. They are parents of Jacob Carr Hagler b 1822. I cannot help but notice the unusual name, Carr. I would expect there to be a connection to the CARR family somewhere along the way.
