I noticed that you did not have a death date for Nancy Jane Hagler's second husband, Phillip Wilson. Phillip Wilson died Sept. 1, 1896. He served in Co. A, 5th TN. Inf., Union Army, during the Civil War. He was a farmer and a blacksmith. He was married once, before he married Nancy Jane Hagler McGee, to Sarah Hodge, May 27, 1849. They were married in Roane Co., and they had 1 daughter. > William Henry McGee, died, August 25, 1862 at Cumberland Gap, TN, of typhoid fever. > Nancy Jane and her 2nd husband, Phillip, are both buried at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. > Nancy's children by Wm. Henry McGee were: > 1. Martha Minerva McGhee, called "Mattie", born March 30, 1859, Roane Co., TN. Martha M. married 1) Jim W. Davis, Dec. 9, 1877, Roane Co. After Jim died, she married 2) Joe McDaniel, and she is buried at Piney Grove Cemetery. > > 2. Benjamin Thomas McGhee, born August 30, 1860 (this is from the family bible and census records), Roane Co. He married Lizzie Burdette and is probably buried at Knoxville, TN. > > All of the above information comes from the papers of Mable Harvey Thornton. > > Linda from Iowa > > > > ==== TNROANE Mailing List ==== > Post surnames in capital letters so they are easy to find. > > ============================== > To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: > http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237 > > >
