    3. Crossville Chronicle obit... Lee R. Morris Jan. 9, 1938 - Sept. 2, 2002 Lee Roy Morris, 64, of Crossville, passed away Sept. 2, 2002. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Sept. 5 at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home in Spring City, TN, with the Rev. Orville Hurst officiating. Burial will be in Spring City Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight (Wednesday) from 7 to 9 at the funeral home. Mr. Morris was born Jan. 9, 1938, in Rockwood, TN, the son of Henry C. and Ruth Jane Smith Morris. As a young man, he ran the Spring City Theater, then enjoyed his profession as a plumber in the Chattanooga area for 30 years. He served in the National Guard, was a member of Falling Water Church of God for 28 years and a member of Victory Baptist Church for four years. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Ruby Frances McFalls Morris of Crossville; sons and daughters-in-law, Donald Lee and Cindy Morris of Paris, CA, Jimmy Ray and Loretta Morris of Spring City and Darius Lee Roy and Linda Graham of Trenton, GA; daughters, Barbara Elaine Bradford of Crossville and Betty Jane Spence of Soddy-Daisy, TN; stepchildren and their spouses, Erniestine and Hoochie Thompson, Barbara Faye and Mike Lilly, and Robert Allen Thurman; sisters and brothers-in-law, Bertha and Marlin Westmoreland of Harriman, TN, Margie Howell, and Mary Sue and Earl Daniels, all of Spring City, and Linda Long of Rossville, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, Johnny and Jane Morris, and David and Delsa Morris, all of Evensville, TN, Coy Morris of Rockwood, Claude and Wiletta Morris, and Lonnie Ray and Lorie Morris, all of Dayton, TN, and Robert and Pam Morris of Chattanooga; 17 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Johnny Ray Morris. Pallbearers will be Johnny Morris, Claude Morris, Robert Morris, David Morris, Lonny Ray Morris and Coy Morris. Honorary pallbearers will be Robbie Thompson, James "Tubby" Thompson, Hoochie Thompson, Bennie Garrison, Dean Brooks and Robert Wilson.
