I would be very interested in sharing information. Also if there is anyone else out there who has information would greatly appreciate it. James Neill born 1808 in North Carolina mrd 1st Judith Louisa Reed (James was my gg-grandfather. James daughter by 3rd wife Elizabeth Morrison Julia Ann Neill was my great-grandmother.) The first records I found of James were as follows: July 20, 1860, census records of McMinn County, Tenn., 7th District of Athens page 98, dwelling 702 and family 676 shows the following: James Neill Sr 52 white/male farmer born in North Carolina Elizabeth 44 female/white wife born in Tennessee Margaret 9 female dau Judith L 8 female dau Thomas F 5 male son Mary E 4 female dau Julia A 8/12 female dau (daughters Margaret and Judith L were by first wife Judith) Samuel Woolsey born 1827 in Greene County, TN mrd Harriet Reed born 1831 (where ?). In 1830 Sameul b. 1827 moved with his family to Ten Mile, TN. By 1860 Samuel and Harriet were living near Harriman and are buried on their famiy home place. Samuel and Harriet's son Samuel married the above Julia Ann Neill. I believe that Judith and Harriet are related being the fact that in all my research where I find the Neill's I find the Reed's, the Morrison's and the Woolsey's living in the same area (sometimes being neighbors) and marrying into each other's families.
