For anyone who has access to Roane Co. Cemetery books. I need to know where Charles Bowman is Buried. All I know is that he is supposed to be buried in or near Rockwood. Any help would be deeply appreciated. Thanks in advance. Brenda Oody

I have been to the Williams Cemetary. It is on private property but the owners took me back to it. I'll have to check my records but I remember that it was in poor condition with little information on the stones.

Does anyone know anything about a Williams Cemetary a few miles NE of SwanPond ? Appears on the Army Corps of Eng. chart # 107 Emory River. Wondering if it is still there and if the stones have been recorded. Thanks Bev Gray
Bev, I was given as a gift a cemetery book "Inscriptions from Old Cemeteries on the Oak Ride (Manhattan Project) Area Anderson and Roane Counties, Tennessee" Compiled by Marjorie P Parsly in 1985. There is no Williams cemetery listed. HOWEVER, cemetery books compiled by Robert L.Bailey for the Roane County Genealogical Society "Cemeteries of Roane County, Tennessee" Vol II. Has Williams Cemetery which is on Emory River and also listed is William Williams Cemetery; it is in the same general area. Do you need to find someone who was buried in this cemetery?
