Just a note to let everyone know that in the short period of time since I first mentioned marking some of these unmarked graves in Rhea County, already two people have documented unmarked graves and are taking steps to get the stones. This is a great beginning, how about some of the rest of you checking your files and see if you have someone here that needs a stone. There's literally thousands of unmarked graves here and each that gets identified is a step in the right direction. For clarification, let me add that we have not identified the actual grave, that would be impossible, but they have provided proof of where they were buried and presently do not have a marker. If you can provide the proof of burial (which cemetery) and get the marker, and if you can't or don't want to come to Rhea County to install it, let me know and I'll do what I can to take care of it for you. BUT, please, if you want me to help you, contact me before you order a stone so that I can contact the individual cemetery associations to make sure there will be no problems with putting one there.
